Community Outreach Program
The hygienists bring a program to the children at the schools and discuss good brushing habits, nutrition for dental health, the cause and prevention of tooth decay, and the control of finger and thumb habits. They also make it fun for the kids by using a puppet named “Skylar” to illustrate tooth brushing and flossing.
Because we are community-service oriented, our office participates in “Give Kids A Smile Day” sponsored by both the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association. We dedicate one full day annually, usually in early February, providing pro-bono examinations, cleanings and dentistry for underprivileged children in our area and continue to give them care and support throughout the year.
Because we are community-service oriented" add a heading "Give Kids a Smile Day" in same font as Community Outreach Program.
We want to have a relationship in our community that shows we care. As the saying goes, “ It Takes A Village” to care for children.
Children's Leukemia Foundation
Our office staff and patients participate in "Christmas in July" for the Children's Leukemia Foundation. Every patient that brings a gift is entered into a raffle with the chance to win an IPad. So many of our patients want to be a part of an event that puts a smile on the faces of children that are dealing with this illness.
Autism Awareness / Down Syndrome
We are proud to support Autism Awareness and the Down Syndrome Guild by participating in their walks and providing free dental supplies and information at their events.
